Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a long-term illness that affects the coronary arteries in the heart. The build-up of cholesterol, especially LDL, causes a decrease in the blood flow to the heart muscle. Keystone Mercy Health Plan wants to help you control your CAD.

Symptoms of CAD include:

  • chest pressure with activity and/or rest
  • heartburn
  • nausea and/or vomiting
  • shortness of breath
  • heavy sweating
  • may lead to heart failure

Keystone Mercy Health Plan has a special program for members who have coronary artery disease (CAD). Call our Care Coordination department to sign up for the program. The number is 1-800-573-4100. We want to help you live a healthy life. Call to speak to a Care Manager today.
